Earth Day 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the ‘Earth Day’ movement. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Earth Day 2020 is particularly unique with activists, performers, thought leaders, and artists coming together online for a communal three-day Livestream.
Whilst not spoken about commonly in the mainstream media, the fights against the coronavirus and the climate crisis go hand-in-hand. Whilst we focus on the short term fight against the virus, we must strive toward the longer-term goal of building a society rooted in sustainability and justice.
The three-day event is being broadcast live at https://www.earthdaylive2020.org/ from Wednesday, April 22nd to Friday 24th April 2020.
Earth Day 2020: Schedule in US, Europe and Asia Pacific
One of the biggest recent learnings is that COVID-19 does not respect international borders. Climate Change is no different. This is a global problem that will require a global solution.
Whilst the official Earth Day schedule is primarily focused on the US timezone, we have provided a timezone conversion below to ensure the global audience can be involved.
