A.P.C. Recommerce: The Recycling Programme

Another fashion brand enter the recommerce market with the launch of A.P.C. Recommerce.

French fashion house A.P.C. enter the Recommerce market with the announcement of the “Recycling Programme”. The brand will offer customers store credit in return for their used products, with garments reused through A.P.C. Recommerce.

Currently only available in the US and France, the exact nature of the A.P.C. Recommerce plans are not explicit at this stage. Whereas brands like The North Face look to repair and resell products in their original state, A.P.C. seems to be heading in a different direction.

Garments will either be used as fabric segments for items like quilts and tote bags or broken down completely into fibres and used as a raw material for new pieces. Whilst this initially can only be done instore, reports via their social media suggest the aim is to allow customers to post items back soon.

No details have been released regarding exactly how much store credit will be provided per garment. This will be dependent on both the fabric of the returned item and also the condition. Be sure to check out further details of A.P.C. Recommerce through their website and social media channels.
